Since 2015, more than 30 cities have organized WordPress Meetups regularly. The pandemic stopped the flow. Between 2020 and 2022, some Meetups online happened, often with the cross Meetup formula (organized by several Meetup groups together). The Italian Community is reorganizing Meetup in person from March 2022, starting from Rome, Milan, and Turin.
